The pervading over powering smell for two solid days was cow manure. The barns are all in the villages so you are constantly watching your step and dodging pies, if not the actual cows themselves. We don’t like the cyclists on the Camino and in this instance they started a stampede with a few of us walkers caught in it. Cyclists found it funny. Walkers have the lowest of low opinions of the cyclists.
